To the young one reading.

To the young person reading, please heed this warning:
Please beware of the dangers of this world, for they aren't monsters in the dark, nor animals in the wilderness.
They are the people you call friends, the ones you call family.
For the monsters that our ancestors fought have morphed and learned.
They no longer hide in the dark, under our beds, or in the woods.
They hide in our homes, our hearts, our work, our schools.
They learn to smile, to hunt us down and rip us apart from within our hearts.
Beware, my friend, for they are out for our love, our light, They are out for our lives.
Please don't let them catch you, please don't be a victim of their evil.
Don't be eaten alive, if you can help it, fight with every last breath.
