I'm scared

poem by: Andrew Dietrich
Written on Jun 26, 2021

Things no parent should have to do
To outlive you child? Thats cruel.
With relasations closing in
I call my grandma. How did you do it
When my uncle did it
How did you push through life
Her answer cliché the other babies
Babies are a driving force for life
The answer brought no ease to my mind
No ease to my stomach
The nightmares won't stop
I've been the man with the plan
My whole life
Like my most grand plan that I had on paper
Its been crumpled. Crumpled Crumpled
I'm just waiting for the rip.
