What would we say...

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Sep 25, 2020

"What would we do, if I saw you today?
Would you recognise me? What would we say?
It's been ever so long, since I last saw your face,
would it feel a bit strange, if we began to embrace?
Mum, you've missed out on so much,
in the decades that you've been gone,
would you still be so proud of your eldest son?
I've changed so much from the lad you once knew,
I'd give you more hugs, and say "I love you."
I wouldn't be so selfish, I'd make sure that I was there,
I would always be around to help you, and really show that I did care,
Ah, but it's never going to happen, it's only me in fantasy land,
but I would love to see you once more...just to feel the touch of your hand."

Lovely poem Frank .I find the Scriptures from the Bible very comforting ,It promises a time when we will see our loved ones again. The Book of Revelation 21,1 to 7.gives us all hope of seeing our loved ones again.
