Summer's Day

poem by: Rhys Thomas
Written on Apr 14, 2020

I sit in the Sun, feeling the breeze
As it blows past me and brings the bees
To the garden so that they can pollinate
However, it's not too long before my body begins to ache:
It begins simply with naught but a sneeze,
Then I feel my throat seize
And I am unable to breathe
My eyes well up, and I cannot see

Hayfever, every year.
Such a joyous time are the Summer months.

I've only ever suffered with Hayfever once......my eyes were coated with "jelly"....... a terrible experience.....summers should be enjoyed not dreaded....nice poem..👍🏻
