ORPHAN GIRL....

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Dec 02, 2019

"She never said a word...she didn't need to speak,
as her hand caressed my sad face...she kissed me on the cheek,
she was just a caring orphan girl, trying to take away my fears,
a little caring orphan girl, wanting to stem my flow of tears.
It was many, many years ago when she calmed my mind of doubt,
often I have wondered...how orphan girls life turned out,
I hope she's had a happy life, when at that time it looked so bleak,
I'll never forget lovely orphan girl....as she kissed me on the cheek."

I was 7yrs old when I spent 10 days in an orphanage in Liverpool way back in 1956....I'll never forget that moment as I lay quietly crying in my bed on the first night.....

This is beautiful, if this girl is real, I hope she's doing amazing today. :)
