More Haikus from Anthony Blake

poem by: Anthony Blake
Written on Nov 19, 2014

Believe in the hope
Our words, are they redemption
Are they true, our words

Heat beneath the ice
Coming undone without you
My last breath is yours

Wake me up inside
Slowly dying from the dark
Looking for the light

No comfort this world
Clouded memories of peace
To be whole again

Only me to be
Hope for next generation
That he will succeed

My blood relieves you
Nothing was ever your fault
Dreams embrace the dark

Burn away the scars
Pain burrows deep within me
Blistered innocence
