The cat, the dog and me Went for a day by the sea Stopping at a seaside cafe I purchased a cup of tea We strolled along the sandy beach Watching boats sailing out of reach The cat did a few loud meows And my pocket hid a rotten old peach The waves crashed against darken rocks I felt sweat in my new woollen socks Bark went the dog at a seagull As a ship moored into the old docks We saw goths, transvestites and punks with braces All wearing heels and boots with bright laces The cat curled up on my head And the dog did foul things in awkward places The moon has now shown her silver frown As were waiting for the train to come down Oh what an amazing and wonderful day We’ve had in this marvellous seaside town
