Meant to say earlier, in London we sang "walking round the garden like a teddy bear - nearly the same. However; there are regional differences in nursery rhymes. For example, as I work as a dinner lady , I've been singing "oranges and lemons" to the kids who say they've never heard it before. Also a few times on the bus I've heard babies sing "red colour red colour where are you which I never heard till I came to live in the midlands. Lovely poem as always Frank.
