Vanished

poem by: Rainn Thomas
Written on Aug 06, 2014

in times of disgrace
it is often said to last
the heart resurrects
but the memory never fades

the roses have faded
the mirror reflects
your image
only one way

I pass by in the hall
it shatters
into a million pieces
with no reflection

you close the door
and fade into black
the light goes out
and you disappear

I search
there is no sign
you are gone
vanished from existence
