Good Morning

poem by: John Salvetti
Written on Sep 26, 2018

The light of day appears, and so does your face.
You might say otherwise, but I find, each hair in its place.
You look in my eyes and I know that i..am home.
The whole world is silent as we occupy our dome.
We are safe here - as safe as we will ever be.
While I look out for you, and you look out for me.
The light of day is dimming now, and I can barely see your face.
But until again we wake, I will feel your warm embrace.
