The Doodle Bug....

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Jun 21, 2018

"Scribbling on the notepad, while talking on the phone,
it's something we all do, so don't worry you're not alone.
Rhomboids, and triangles, circles, and cubes,
squares, smiley faces, pyramids, and tubes.
Oodles of doodles all over the pad, why do we draw them?
maybe we're all going mad.
We all have our own doodle that we constantly draw,
but why doodle we do them?...no one's quite sure.
Subconsciously producing, little works of "art,"...next a Picasso?
...well it might be the start!
So just enjoy your own doodling, as you chat on the phone,
and as I said so before....happily, you're not on your own."
