Toes

poem by: Theresa Davison
Written on Apr 18, 2018

We were lined up barefoot at school one day
A warm morning in mid-May
All the girls with their feet exposed.
In my class were 250 toes.
Some toes long, some toes short
Some toes remain hidden they ought
Some toes ugly
No toes snuggly
No shoes, no socks, No footwear allowed at all.
At lunchtime we played barefoot football.
My second toe is my longest
My big toe is my strongest
