A Night with the Lads

poem by: R.T. Aquinas

Adam had asked us all if we would go TenPin Bowling
Six of us said we would enjoy the rolling
Of a heavily weighted ball down the lane
The only problem was our suffering aim
On the night, eight of us there
We had so much fun, we just couldn't care
About how badly we all threw.

None of us had an amazing score
But we all had fun, and that's what we went for.

Our troop of thespians out for one night
I'm sure those behind us had a fright
When they saw me and Adam as we swung back our ball
And then threw forward and gave it our all.
Two lanky six-footers with not the greatest aim
But we managed somehow to throw straight down the lane.
That alone was a surprise.

Then we spent some time in the arcade
For all of us this night had been made
It was a great night out with the boys
We won some tickets and got unicorn toys.
