Mea Culpa

poem by: R.T. Aquinas
Written on Feb 05, 2018

"I am sorry", I don't know what else to say
So I fall to my knees and start to pray.
I never meant to threaten you
Nor ever make you feel blue.

May we become friends again
Even if it's not the same
As it once was between you and me

Can you find it in your heart to forgive?
Unite our friendship once more?
Let me back into your life?
Please, I am sorry I hurt you.
Accept this as my apology?

Must I tell you how sorry I am for
Everything I have ever done
Against you?

Can you find it in your heart to forgive?
Unite our friendship once again?
Let us at least not be hostile.
Please, I am sorry I hurt you.
Accept this as my apology.
