Non Mea Culpa

poem by: R.T. Aquinas
Written on Dec 28, 2017

Non mea culpa; It is not my fault,
In culpa est tua,
Et tua solus.
But to err is human.

I know what I know;
I can learn what I don't
I never pretend to know anything,
So never accuse me of this.

It was you who attacked me,
I merely reacted.
You upset me deeply.
To forgive is divine.

I will not be angry and I will not hurt you.
Instead, I forgive
As the two of us,
Through the Bread of Life, will live.
