Your writing is always like a breath of fresh air Frank, my son has made many attempts to give up this toxic addiction, but always goes back, he has the decency to go out and smoke when he visits, hope it's banned for good!

I am not a cigarette smoker. It is not illegal in the States of Washington and Oregon. You are allowed to smoke within 25 feet of buildings. Many apartments are "becoming smoke-free". Certain parks ban it altogether. The Everett Station also has a no smoking policy. It probably is not regulated in several states. The tobacco industry probably still has some clout. They can't advertise on the television, but can in print books and magazines.
