When you say yes

poem by: Virgil Brown
Written on Jan 27, 2017

When you say yes
Theirs a target on your back
That the enemy trys all he
Can to slap the jesus out of you
To make you frown
And and denounce our maker
When you say yes
And you are obedient to God
Your no longer on a narrow field
Your on the first line
Getting hit with bills
Love ones going home
But life goes on
Keep pressing through pain
Because he reigns
I can stand the tasks
 At hand
A sing like a band
But God is good
When you say yes

Geoffrey Brewer commented:
Nice and positive. But I thnk you meant to write:'There's a target...' and 'You're no longer...' 'You're on the first line' and 'The enemy tries...'. Sorry. As a teacher, I couldn't let it pass.
