Ode to a snowman

poem by: Marie Round
Written on Nov 03, 2016

You stand outside so tall and still
I worry you might catch a chill
Your eyes of coal brightly shining
That carrot nose was mine for dining!
Your arms of sticks bent and twisted
To take for warmth, I barely resisted
Tempted to place you near the hearth
Instead I wrap your neck in a scarf
The sun is showing its wintery face
And you shall melt, that is your fate....
