Lost

poem by: P Mason

Suddenly, you left as quickly as you arrived
In
Between you sent notes, touched, came
Close enough to taste, smell, kiss, feel, love
and
Then vanish.

You turned to ice as quickly
as
you exposed your warmth and tenderness
leaving
me lost, sad, weeping and
alone.

We talked, touched, felt
warm
with each other. And then you shut down.

One morning you ran to my
home.
Across a wide river, across a
marsh
and up my hill only to
stand
never come to my open door as I lay
awake
waiting
then turned and ran back across the marsh
and river and away from what I desired.

I have absolutely no idea about writing a poem, but this is entertaining.
