Water

poem by: Debby Airhart
Written on Mar 15, 2016

I am water.
I ebb and flow with the tide
Answering only to the call of the moon
I rise and fall
Fall and rise
In rhythm to the life below me.
Fire my burn hot
Scorching and scalding
But I comfort and lull into a deceptive bliss
Before I pull you under
