Baby Mine

poem by: Debby Airhart
Written on Mar 15, 2016

When I heard your heart beat for the first time
I knew my heart was no longer my own.

And when I heard you laugh
I all but broke into a thousand pieces

For you were mine
And I was yours alone

I was enraptured by your wonder filled eyes
And how with contented sighs you slept
