two strangers

Two strangers
Walking through life
Their roads have been long
Their days filled with strife
Love has come and gone
Now so far away
Yearning for freedom
Young lives filled with pain
With the stars shining for them
The light fills their eyes
Laughing through the pain
Smiling at the lies
While deep inside
Their hearts have gone cold
Faces so young
Before their time grown old
The wind whispers softly
Into their ears
Soothing their pain
Drying their tears
It speaks of a place
Where pain won't exist
Where love only matters
And heartache desists
Then the road forks before them
And they have to choose
Between one that's less traveled
And one greatly used
They embrace softly
As they say their goodbyes
For one choose the truth
The other the lies
Never again
will they meet on the way
For one is lost
And the other learned to pray
