Instinctual

poem by: Samantha Johnson
Written on May 13, 2015

Live in the here and now
Don’t let life infect you
Live in the here and now
It’s here to protect you

You can take control
If and when you want to
But as time escapes
You find nothing to hold on to

Seems there’s no difference
Between fact and fiction
It’s just instinctual
The only distinction
Between fact and fiction
The only difference here
Is you

Living in a dream
Here and now far away
I’m up in the air again
Just want to play another day

And I can take control
If and when I want to
But as time escapes
I’ve got nothing to hold on to

Seems there’s no difference
Between fact and fiction
It’s just instinctual
The only distinction
Between fact and fiction
The only difference here
Is you
The difference is you
