No looking back

A woman was leaving and her bags was all packed leaving for good and she wasn't looking back.

As she adjusted her mirror she saw her boys in slumber land in the back seat
She prayed the car would start , she was tired sore and beat.

She saw a man running to her car but he was a bit to late, the car had started and was
moving, he had no control now of their fate.

Oh God she said as she pounded on the gas please let us get out of here
and she spun those tires fast.

All to soon the man in the rear view mirrors image was gone, she left everything behind
him , her stuff, her home.

Oh God I don't know where I am going , or what I will do, I only know that. what I left is my past
and the past is through.

she made it into a old little town, and she new this was a chance for life to begin
The man at the station, said ma'am can I help you, you look lost my friend.

Sir Do you know a place where I can stay tonight
He looked in the car and saw two sleepy heads
He said there is a bed and breakfast down the road right in sight.

She pulled up to the b&b fumbling through her wallet , while walking to the door
a old lady noticed her and said hey there, haven't saw you here before.

What can I help you with?, the tired traveler said we just need to sleep tonight
how much is it please, she was so tired sweet and polite.

The kind old lady said, I think you have been driving a while
come on in bring your babies, have supper with me and then she smiled

She talked to the old lady, and told her of her plight . Then the owner
the sweet old lady said I can't charge you it wouldn't be right.

I just need a job, but for now just to rest, the old lady said honey, sounds like
you tried and did youre best.

You say you want to settle here, then the old lady brushed back a tear.
I was just thinking I'm older and can't run this place alone
Would you like to work here and help me, and let this be your home.

The young lady couldn't help but bust into sobs she'd held back for many years
and the old lady couldn't help but hug her then to dry her tears.

She said will talk it all over in the morning just eat for now.
I';m sorry but I don't know how to run a bed and breakfast
Is that it said the old lady noth'n to it , I will show you how.

After they ate, the old lady said let me show you to your room
she opened the door and guided her in while whistling a tune.

Honey this can be your home and the boys for as long as you will
she helped her put the babes to bed and watched them sleep so still.
See ya in the morn.

The young lady felt a peace, that put her mind to ease
and she never looked back
