Bird

poem by: D'Vina Dietrich
Written on Mar 09, 2015

A Bird with a broken wing.
The others flew away,
Yet he's there, alone.

The Others knew it was coming.
Gave up on Him.
Yet they were a Flock.

Weren't they always suppose to be?

Poor Bird all alone,
No one to save him.
He can't soar the skies
Broken and alone.

Every love the Bird had
Revoked, gone, forever...

Slowly he gives up,
Lets fate settle in.

They'll never be back.

At this point death never sounded better.

A Bird with a shattered heart.

Sounds like you lost some friends or people you cared about. It hurts to lose but sometimes it's the only way to grow and heal.Your true friends will be back in the spring.

We have a lot of different birds coming into our garden, and over the years I've managed to save a few who were shunned by the others. I can identify to this, I often wonder what goes through the poor little birds head. Well written

This is a great poem! Very deep and the hidden meaning is absolutely gut wrenching. I love this!
