Crave Chronicles Part 1

poem by: Joshua JayShades Legister
Written on Dec 13, 2024

Are you alone?
Whose bed do you crave tonight
is it mine, or just anyone to fill the void?
Are you stalking my profile,
or do you just want a glimpse of me?

There's no time for games.
Come and take what you want
I'll make you mine
for a moment, for an eternity,
or just until the sun rises.

Pride’s the mind-killer, isn’t it?
You can’t outrun the pull.
I see it in your eyes,
how you fight the want,
but every glance betrays you.

What table are we sitting at?
Let’s flip it, break it,
throw the rules away.
Take it all off
the doubts, the pretense,
the distance.

Because this?
This is where desire
burns through the night,
and neither of us
walks away whole.
