I Know

poem by: Joshua JayShades Legister
Written on Nov 02, 2024

Dodgy, cunning, plans laid deep,
Playing fool to catch what I keep.
A broken soul can wound the whole,
But I see through the lies you told.

Was it your scheme from the start
To watch my rise, then pull it apart?
Yet I'd rather be lost in the dark with you
Than shine alone, though it’s nothing new.

But I know now, struggle shapes the strong,
And you can't stall me for to long.
