The end of the line...

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Jul 12, 2023

“I have a strange feeling...I’m nearing the end..
I’m not going to lie...I’m not going to pretend..
I’ve lived my lifetime....over three score, and ten...
enjoyed most of my days...wouldn’t want to start over again...
All things must pass...a famous Beatle once said...
everything that lives...eventually ends up dead...
that’s just how nature...rolls efficiently on, and on..
for a short time we are here...then forever we are gone.”
