Talking about my Generation...

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Dec 16, 2022

"I grew up in the '50s....Liverpool was my home...
I felt safe on the streets...enjoyed the freedom to roam...
...with the desire, and a need....to go and explore...
we were the lucky generation....had no fear of war...
although we owned few possessions....with not many toys..
still my life was all fun...playing in the streets with the other girls, and boys...
unaware of the evils....that were obviously out there...
...at just six years old....none of us had a care...
My Generation....and I'm sure everyone of us agree...
owe it to many of the previous generation....
who sacrificed their lives...so MY GENERATION could be FREE."
