New Beginning

poem by: D'Vina Dietrich

It's an unknown entity
Emerging from the depths
From underneath the rubble
It buried there for how long?
Blinding eyes as it emerges
They try to suppress it
Throwing shade over it's purity
It won't stop
It has had enough of the chaos
Ready to take on the world
To walk without weight holding it down
To walk in the light
And not live in darkness
Free from a nasty place.
The unknown, will be known.
Known for its strength
Not it's weakness.
To be known for beauty
And not it's flaws.
Known for the now
Not the past
It's a new beginning.

The beauty of now wouldn't be there without the flaws of the past. It makes everything else all more beautiful.
