She can finally look me in the face
She can finally look me in the face
So much harsh judgement misplaced
I don't see the hate when I see her face
She can finally look me in the face
She can finally look me in the face
chant these words for my happy place
Pain and questions not meant to disgrace
She can finally look me in the face
She can finally look me in the face
Harsh things said we both get a taste
Day by day our love always making haste
She can finally look me in the face
She can finally look me in the face
A foundation a foothold we call our base
Her big brown eyes piercing me with grace
She can finally look me in the face
She can finally look me in the face
Arguments left in the past forgiveness on our new base never to look back but always remember to not make the same mistakes twice leave those wounds and thoughts to be forever lost without a trace.
Because my biggest fear is us not learning and to be forever tormented by the day that she decides to never look me in the face.
