Nowhere Fast

lyrics by: Beth Binkley

I’ll make it quick
the monologue
I wanna give
But quite honestly
there’s mouthfuls left to say

I’ll lay it out,
cards folded now
I’ve made it clear
what I’m about
And what I am about
is always you

You live in me everyday
My 5 senses rearranged
To make room for the guests that stay
within my soul

But I’m not out of vacancies
At least I would like to believe
they’ve waited for you
so that they could be bold...

We went nowhere fast,
but let’s leave it in the past!
I’ve got a heart of gold
and I’ve been told
that warmth will make it last

You are the love I need,
the comfort that encases me!
When I sleep alone
I’m on my phone
thinking of the joy you heed
