elephant

silent walk through the jungle as the elephant approaches deep from the mist of the night it appears i had seen her once, she was coming from the horizon the backdrop of an African afternoon in a dream I had seen her and with her sized tusks and trunk her enormous ears and tiny eyes she looked down at me ,staring in the most caring way and with kind intent she disappears and I accompanied by two elderly woman continue onward through flax bush to the edge of town where I stepped out onto the street of my birth I awoke.........
