My computer was shutting down for several hours.

My old lady computer worked over-time on June 15, 2017.
She was working early this afternoon. When I returned
back home to my apartment, I turned her on.
I remember shutting her down before my
home care worker, Susan, took me
to see my PCP.

A surprise was awaiting me, but not a pleasant one.
It seems my computer was still busy shutting down.
For several hours, it did not change. Finally,
the pleasant computer's picture was on its screen.
But my computer was off-line again.
I went to the icon located in the bottom right hand
corner. Eventually she turned back on.
Poem hunter was the last poetry site
I visited.

Next I checked out face book. And then I decided
to check out Pondrin. Posting my first short story
on this site. I felt I just had to post my latest
experience with my old lady computer who
is in semi retirement. According to a mutual
Geek friend, my laptop is living on borrowed time.
She only has about one year's life in her.

My next machine will probably be a Google's Chrome book.
They can cost over $400.00 which is far too rich for my blood.
I might have to purchase one on time, if it is possible.
Maybe the price will be reduced by that time.

I hope and pray when I turned off my computer
for the night, she will not spend hours shutting down.
I will have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
This will probably be a continuing series.

Love as always!

Wishful thinking

poem by Roxanne Dubarry

Why waste the time of day in wishful thinking? Why spin cobwebs in the air? Why wish upon a star, when no one hears? Many years I have spent in wishful thinking. Day dreaming most of my life away. Wasting away the years, Ign... Read more

Jesus Christ is my major source of inspiration, it is quite obvious to me. Without his help, I would possess no talent for composing any of my inspirational Christian poetry. He provides the words to say. He lightens my heavy ... Read more
