ENQUIRE WITHIN.....

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Aug 16, 2019

"Just ask me some personal questions..come on, ask something solely about me,
make me feel that you're really interested, I will answer any question with glee.
Don't you want to know anything about me?..make me feel that you care,
I was born a very long time ago, aren't you curious to know where?
You'd better ask me pretty soon..because my time is sadly running out,
don't leave it all too late, don't leave your mind filled with doubt.
Never be too shy to ask me..or be afraid of the answer you might get,
because if you don't find out now...believe me, years later you will only regret.
Because I never put questions to my dying mother, didn't want to embarrass her so, I wanted to ask about my real dad, I really did want to know,
I wish I would've asked about her childhood days..was she happy, and have lots of fun?
But no I didn't ask her anything, now I'm left to regret...just being a selfish son."
