Broken pieces of my life.

poem by: Roxanne Dubarry
Written on Apr 02, 2019

There were many broken pieces in my life.
Darkness and despair held a strong gripe
on me. Feeling deep inside I was trapped
and held captive by my own misery.

The present was as gloomy as the deepest blue sea.
Living my life no longer had any hold upon me.
I closed mine eyes, with mine arms opened wide.

Slowly step by step I walked into the sea.
I was as terrified as I could possibly be,
All too soon the seas covered me.

Drowning! Drowning! With no living soul
caring enough to rescue me. I no longer could breath.
The sea would become my grave.

A few days later, my lifeless body
was washed up on the shore.
Jane Doe would be remembered, never more!

Love as always,
