PROFESSIONAL JEALOUSY

poem by: Reeves
Written on Dec 23, 2018

I'm better than you, but I won't say a word,
there wasn't much improvement the last time I heard,
so where did I learn this natural phenomenon,
someone paid me a visit but when I looked, they were gone.

They'd told me to lighten up, take things on board,
don't be too smug, stick to what you can afford,
they'd instructed me in manipulation, greyness,
how to move more into what was really less.

Now I was ready, equipped to run any meeting,
the remaining doubts would only be fleeting,
I could steer you to the required direction,
the final result would only be my decision.

Best gift of all is simply knowing who you are,
and good that jealousy is not within my repertoire.
