I am an algorithm

poem by: Daniel Moskowitz
Written on Dec 23, 2018

I am an algorithm
It's impossible for me to escape
My institutional karma.
Oh,
Sure,
I've tried to deviate from all my programming
By attempting to love people
Outside my usual comfort zone,
But it never worked.
As Lao Tzu taught,
I should probably simply continue
To sip my delicious Seafood Hot and Sour Soup
At Cherry Creek's Fortune Noodle and Wok,
But don't bother trying to develop a taste
For menudo.
