Haunt

poem by: Smokey Wraith
Written on May 30, 2018

Full is the moon
Large and bright
Shining a beacon
Into the night
Calling to those
Forgotten and lost
Still holding on
Despite the cost
Nobody sees them
Nobody cares
High in the sky
The moonlight glares
Beyond the veil
Into the black
But once you're a haunt
There's no turning back

There is something haunting about a full moon.....each time I look at a full clear moon it's hard to believe that men have walked on its surface.....amazing......nice poem Smokey......

That is a really nice poem Smokey. The moon shines in through my window each night and I often look at it and wonder who else may be looking at the same moon. I have to say, I find comfort in it for sure. Lifts the darkness from me like a drug euphoria haha :)

Hi Smokey, This a good poem and it flows and reads nicely. The thing that you might do to improve the read of it so the reader can catch their breath, is break it into stanzas . Make a double space between every four lines in this poem. Best regards, K River
