You poured your heart and soul into this you poor little thing, life can be difficult for some but at least baby Bill was there, like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow~beautiful.

Hahaha....thanks Cecilia...haha..."Poor little thing,"....I'm 68 yrs old!...haha..but I know what you mean ..I was a skinny little thing back in 1956...in those days women had to stay in hospital for ten days after giving birth...now women give birth "on the hoof,"..and are lucky if they stay in for 1 day!.....it might sound hard to believe..but most of my memories are really good ones...Thanks again Cecilia..have a lovely day down there in Australia...

A very emotional read and I can't imagine not being with my family while growing. Times have certainly changed and I for one am very grateful. Have a blessed day. Janet

Excellent poem, really captures the thoughts that go through a young mind. Imagine what the long term kids must think.

I'm glad you weren't given away Frank. I remember when my mum used to leave me at home to go to night school and I'd sit at the window watching her leave in the rain and thinking that she was never coming back. It can be scary for a kid that young.
