THE POETRY BUG

By Steven Godfrey

I like to write , I do it for fun

About any subject under the sun

I think it's important to share your thoughts

I do it by poetry, it's a bug I have caught ,

I never profess to be any good

My words are from the heart , the way that they should

About growing up or present day feeling

It helps me get by, a great form of healing

So i will keep putting my story down in words

Usually written early , when up with the birds

Quietest time of the day , just nature and me

A time to reflect when the mind is most free .

Just nature...and poetry...a lovely combination, ...and another lovely poem..

Great poem Steven. I don't think there's any form of language more natural than poetry.
