poem by: Robert Kohlhammer
Written on Jun 29, 2017

I have seen the headlines about bottled water
research shows that refilling plastic bottles
will produce much more bacteria than the newspaper
old gossip in articles that makes my mind boggle

I drink a cup of coffee from its filter
I eat my breakfast but I wait for the toaster
I refill my day with with a reservoir of current affairs
I stretch my imagination to a second helping

I use Pondrin spontaneously for free writing
I stop to think before I think of typing
I feel as a week goes by too swiftly
I have a selection of five or fewer tags
