The passing of days.

poem by: Christopher Russon
Written on Jun 15, 2017

Your youth is like the the leaves in spring
And the gentle breeze on a pleasent day
The wind blows all your cares away.

Now the flowers bloom summer is here
A simple Rose in your garden of life
Romance awaits no Time to hesitate.

Those bright green leaves fade with age
We all grow old with the passing of days
In the end wisdom is your greatest friend.

With memories you will raise a smile
And leaves will fall with Autumns call
Winter arrives then snow flakes fall.

Wisdom does come with age Christopher, wish it came earlier so we wouldn't make the mistakes we make in younger days...very well done.

A poignant tribute to time passing, the stages of a life. It was inked with such delicate deliberation I smiled wide as I read it. Quite lovely really!

There are times, I wish things would stay the same and for loved ones to never leave my side. But if there's always biscuits in the tin, then where's the fun in biscuits? Great poem Chris :)
