Africa Two Paths

poem by: Gerry Legister

Historic Africa dabbled in darkness
Long for a glimpse of the light,
Try to learn from past mistakes,
One day will make those lessons right.

Write all deeds that were wrong
Setting visions in dreams alight,
A cure will come to make us strong,
It will never be too late to make right.

Truth waits in the unknown silence
With barriers built around,
When sought for the right entrance,
In the paths where knowledge is found.

Dwells the future of glory for Africa
Beyond where present suffering abounds,
The Children to come will find Mana,
Ocean of water in mighty waves surrounds.

Fear, not the past unhealthy cry,
hear the uprise from underground commence,
for recompense demise, our heroes die
Multitudes now stand in their place.

The distant future is unknown to man
But God knows the destiny of everyone
Time revealed in glimpses of vision,
No realms on earth dare to stand alone.
