No Fixed Abode...

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Feb 19, 2017

"For too many long years, he's tramped life's lonely road,
he doesn't have a home, he has "no fixed abode."
For him living is not easy, in fact life is really tough,
with no roof over his head, every night sleeping rough,
just walking the streets, to kill time through the day,
and no money in his pocket, to pay for somewhere to stay ,
no longer part of society, he dropped out long ago,
couldn't handle the rat race, he just doesn't want to know,
survives only by begging, sometimes resorting to theft.
Now he doesn't have a future, doesn't have much more time left,
maybe two or three harsh winters, surviving a hard life on the road,
but sadly, he is just one of too many, with " no fixed abode."
