Our very own

poem by: Martyn Grindrod
Written on Dec 13, 2016

Our very own :

It started as a mild heart strain
arising and rising through my veins
a shot of heroin
Our very own schism of pain

Above us blackened sky
a thunderous storm
a cloudburst of rain
Our very own floodplain

You bowled me over
My wickets in your hurricane
breaking my barriers
Our very own weather vane

thank you
