Music in His Blood

poem by: Christopher Russon
Written on Nov 11, 2016

He sings all night
And works all day
He is rather big
In a small kind of way.

His heart would always
Skip a beat
When playing his music
In the street.

The crowd would always
Gather round to listen
To his self-made sound.
He never made it in the charts
Like so many others with his art.

Acoustic guitar, amp and a plug
That is all he needs
When he has music in his blood.

Good poem, so many are born with talent but don't have the opportunities that others have.

Just had pleasure reading this poem again Chris........Liverpool had the best bands in the 60s.....but Your home town Birmingham..totally dominated the 70s. with all the "Brummy" bands..great stuff!.......my grandson Charlie, used to "busk" out on the streets a few years back...he certainly has "music in his blood". ....as he now studies music at Leeds university...love the poem Chris...
