~If Once~

If Once you shook his hand, and
Once you warmed his heart,
Then Once you watched him live, and
Once you watched him part.
If Once you watched him smile, and 
Once you watched him cry, 
Then Once you held him in your arms, and
Once you watched him die.
If Once you were angry, and
Once you said he didn't belong,
Then Once he was here, and
Once he was gone.
If Once you were sorry, and
Once will never be,
Then Once you felt his presence, and
Once will always be.

I love it but feel the last rhyme let's it down slightly by repeating be. I would suggest changing it if that is not too bold of me
