What If

poem by: Shane Smith
Written on Nov 02, 2016

What if
What if a bird could not fly
Couldn't soar throughout the vast sky,
If a human could not die
The everlasting rest they would not lie.

What if
What if life could not grow
The blissful colors of the world would not show,
If a loving heart could not beat
The lover of your life you would not meet.

What if
What if thoughts you could not think
Your mind forever on the brink,
If a fire of genocide did not burn
Peace and love would be no concern.
