Ego

poem by: Lyella Lewis
Written on Oct 28, 2016

An impenetrable darkness, a denseness that allows no breaches to it's defences, weaves an illusion of it's own pretences,

Shades of grey, fleeting light awakens to fall away,
an arsenal of delusions keeps the light at bay.

Glorified when victorious, diminished with all failures,
the darkness prevails regardless.

Release the illusions of tomorrow, relinquish delusions blindly followed, awaken to the light that removes all sorrow.
